New bill on indonesian migrant worker health examination
Indonesian Ministry of Health (MoH) is proposing a new bill on Indonesian Migran Worker (PMI) Health Examination. The new bill will include seafarer as a PMI, and will also add psychological test as mandatory procedure. Health facilties will be required to share the health examination result with the MoH using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) connected to SATUSEHAT platform. The new bill also proposed data interoperability to be shared with the Ministry of Migrant Worker Protection (KP2MI) platform, commonly known as SiskoP2MI.
The new bill is currently being discussed with related stakeholders, including with the KP2MI, Association of Migrant Worker Health Examination Facilities (HIPTEK), Association of Indonesian Psychologist (HIMPSI), Association of Indonesian Clinical Psychologist (IPK), and The Indonesian Occupational Medicine Specialist Association (PERDOKI)
With the new bill the Indonesian Ministry of Health is aiming to improve PMI health examination reports and provide data integration with related ministries to help combat illegal placement of PMI.
